Where to get help in the Library
Library and Learning Services offer a wide range of guidance on all aspects of your studies.
When you are in the Library, staff are available on information points on the Ground Floor and the First Floor. Staff here will be able to answer general enquiries. For times when the Information Desks are staffed see here.
Library staff also rove throughout the libraries. They wear library lanyards so you can identify them and ask them for any help or directions you need.
For more specific queries you can visit the First Floor information point, or contact the Subject Librarian for your subject area, who will have expertise and knowledge relating to the particular resources for your department. Visit the Librarians guide to find out who your librarian is.
Library Disability Services
Library Disability Team: the team offers confidential one-to-one advice and guidance to help any student with particular needs. Specialist provision includes access to Assistive Technology and extended book loans. Find out more about Library Disability Services & Assistive Technology support here.
You can find IT support at the First Floor Information Desk in the Kimberlin Library. For times when the Information Desks are staffed see here.

Just Ask! and FAQs
For help when you are outside the Library, you can contact the JustAsk service anytime during staffed hours by e-mail or by phone, and they will do their best to help you as quickly and efficiently as possible.
LibChat is usually available 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday providing an instant response. We aim to provide an answer to enquiries submitted via the Just Ask form within 24 hours, although it is usually much quicker. Please note that replies will take longer when the University is closed for public and bank holidays. You can find details of opening times on the Opening Hours Page.
