We are a team of lecturers based in the Library who can help you enhance your writing, study skills and academic practice. We offer workshops, assignment drop-ins, individual tutorials and online resources.

Special Collections

Special Collections & Archives

Special Collections holds archives, rare books, artwork and artefacts relating to areas such as the history of fashion, textiles, photography, sports, performing arts and Leicester itself as well as the Stephen Lawrence Collection.

Our dedicated teams, including CLaSS, Assistive Technology, Digital Partner, Library Disability Team, Maths Learning Centre and expert Librarians - can help you make the best use of our Library resources and provide further support sessions that can support essential academic skills (e.g. assignment writing, reading and referencing), searching for resources, maths and statistics skills and digital skills to name a few.

Support is provided through bookable workshops, tutorials, appointments and drop-ins. Use our tools below to book a tutorial, workshop, appointment or just browse upcoming events!

Academic support drop-in can be either in the Kimberlin library (LDZ) on campus or online. Drop-in hours for these can be found under the 'Opening Hours' or select the Academic Support Drop-In link below for further details.
