How we can help
Your Librarian
Your Librarian has subject specialist knowledge and can help you with identifying sources to help you find good quality information, referencing and reference management and searching effectively. Librarians also offer individual tutorials.
Centre for Learning & Study Support
We are a team of lecturers based in the Library who can help you enhance your writing, study skills and academic practice. We offer workshops, assignment drop-ins, individual tutorials and online resources.
Maths & Statistics Support
We are a team of lecturers who offer support for Maths and Statistics. This includes support with Excel, SPSS, and Numerical Reasoning Tests. We offer online drop-in sessions, tutorials, workshops, and resources.
The Drawing Centre
The Drawing Centre aims to develop students’ visual learning and communication; using drawing to explore ideas in visually based programmes, and a host location for developing artists to engage with their creativity.
Assistive Technology
We offer student support including access to equipment, specialist software and laptops. Training, tutorials, and workshops are provided throughout the academic year.
Disability Services
We offer student support including access to equipment, specialist software, accessible formats and Ask and Collect book service. We offer one to one tutorials throughout the academic year.
Digital Skills & IT Support
Get help with MS 365 and the learning technologies used to support your course including Blackboard, Turnitin and DMUReplay. Get to know your IT basics or develop your digital skills - come to a workshop or book a tutorial.
Special Collections & Archives
Special Collections holds archives, rare books, artwork and artefacts relating to areas such as the history of fashion, textiles, photography, sports, performing arts and Leicester itself as well as the Stephen Lawrence Collection.
Our dedicated teams, including CLaSS, Assistive Technology, Digital Partner, Library Disability Team, Maths Learning Centre and expert Librarians - can help you make the best use of our Library resources and provide further support sessions that can support essential academic skills (e.g. assignment writing, reading and referencing), searching for resources, maths and statistics skills and digital skills to name a few.
