Maths Learning Centre (MLC): Drop-in Sessions

Enhancing maths and statistics learning and teaching for staff and students

Drop-ins

Welcome to Maths Learning Centre (MLC) drop-ins

You can come along to the drop-in sessions to get support with Maths and Statistics queries. This service is for all DMU students (undergraduate and postgraduate students). You can be studying on any discipline as almost every course has some level of maths and/or statistics.

They run daily Monday to Friday 12-2pm and up to 4pm on Wednesdays during term-time and exam-time in in our new Location: Collaboratory, Kimberlin Library (the entrance door is opposite the Gateway House).

  • You can drop-in and stay for 5 minutes or 2 hours, as often as you like.
  • Our trained staff are very patient and are happy to spend time with you individually to help you overcome any barriers to your understanding of the maths you need.
  • We have a good bank of resources which match many modules you study.
  • You need to bring any course materials or attempted questions with you, and a calculator.

Please see below a table detailing which staff member is on which days:
