If you have a Support Worker, DMU Disability Advice and Support (DAS) can arrange for them to have an ID card and lanyard. This will give them reference access to the Library during our staffed service hours to assist you with your studies.
Our library spaces provide areas for both quiet and silent study as well as group work. The Kimberlin Library has rooms which can be booked for you to work in private - see the Bookable Study Rooms section of this guide or ask a member of library staff for further details.
The Library Trail is a self-guided tour of Kimberlin. You can pick up a copy in the Library foyer or view it and print off a copy before you visit us using the link.
If you would like a member of staff to show you around, please contact the Library Disability Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
To release the automatic doors into the Library foyer press the pad on the right at the top of the ramp. You can exit by this means too - the pad is located on the right as you leave the Library.
Entrance and Exit
The entrance to and exit from the Library has turnstiles. To bypass these you can use the wheelchair accessible gate which you can operate by scanning your University ID card. To register your card for this purpose speak to a Building Attendant at the Reception Desk or contact the Library Disability Team at email@example.com.
A lift to all levels is available for your use if you require it. To obtain a temporary lift key ask a member of staff in the main foyer area. If you wish to be issued with a key permanently contact the Library Disability Team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
